AI Literacy Lab

Through practical advice, hands-on training and ongoing support, the AI Literacy Lab ensures that civil society organisations can make informed choices regarding how to leverage AI effectively and responsibly.

After an initial consultation with key internal stakeholders, we will jointly assess whether the best approach is organisational workshops, individual advice, policy inputs or another methodology according to the organisation’s needs.

Our direct approach with organisations addresses six key areas:

  • AI and technology literacy: Building fundamental understanding of AI capabilities and limitations.
  • Ethics, regulation, and compliance: Navigating the complex landscape of responsible AI use.
  • Risk identification and mitigation: Developing skills to assess and manage AI-related risks.
  • Individual application: Practical guidance on personal use of AI tools.
  • Organisational implementation: Strategic advice on institutional AI adoption and policy development.
  • AI governance advocacy: Empowering organisations to influence AI policy discussions and hold tech companies and others to account for their impact on civil society, rights and the environment.

Who we’ve worked with

Testimonials

“Bruna delivered a tailor-made and expertly executed workshop for the ZTI Coordination team. It was thoroughly prepared and delivered with exceptional attention to detail. Her follow-up after the session was equally impressive. Bruna managed to design and present a workshop that perfectly matched the team’s needs and varying levels of knowledge, addressing a highly technical and politically sensitive topic with clarity and expertise. Her depth of knowledge and professionalism were outstanding.

Adam Lunn, Global Focal Point & Facilitator, Zero Tolerance Initiative (ZTI)

“The AI Literacy Lab with Tecer Digital was one of the most useful trainings I’ve ever participated in. Bruna was great at presenting clear, accessible information on AI and gently questioning and debunking my misconceptions. The opportunity for guided practice with real life examples was excellent. I left feeling less paranoid, better informed, and really excited about how AI could enhance my work and our organisational efficiency”
